He was born in Aragon but the date of his birth is unknown.
Bobadilla initiated his political life as servant of the Royal Household. In 1480 he managed to be named knight of the military order of Calatrava which was a military and religious order founded on the Kingdom of Castile in the year 1158, by the abbot St. Raymond of Fitero, with the initial aim to protect Calatrava's Ville, located near the current Ciudad Real; and one of the right-hand men of the Catholic Monarchs Isabel of Castile and Fernando of Aragon.

In 1480 he was designated commander of The Order of Calatrava in diverse populations who had entered disobedience. For example, Auñón, in Cuenca. His action there was so hard that the neighbors wantedexternal image arrow-10x10.png to kill him. They did not obtain it, evidently. They were the years in which Isabel and Fernando were starting submitting the feudal gentlemen, which was including the fiefs of military órdenes as Calatrava. Later Bobadilla occupied the same post in Berninches and The County, in Guadalajara: nobody loved him for that e, but hefulfilled in a satisfactory way the mission entrusted by the kings.

In spite of his precedents, or probably because of them, he was designated coroner judge by the Catholic Monarchs on May 21, 1499,in order to verify what was happening in La Española, where from constant complaints were coming on the action of Christopher Columbus and his brothers.

After the revolt of Francisco Roldán, Mayor of Santo Domingo, many neighbors and settlers complained to the monarchs for his venal actions, the bad treatment to the Indians and for the concealment of royal fifths of pearls and gold.

But, then, in which position was Colon staying? Evidently, the intention of the Crown was to destroy the admiral. The reason: his disability to submit Roldan's revolt. It is clear that the kings took it calmly: Bobadilla was waiting during a year for the order to set sail. Maybe the kings were waiting for positive news: that Colon had suffocated the revolt. But the information that was coming was every time worse. At the end Isabel and Fernando gave a letter to Bobadilla in order to be delivered to the admiral in La Española. The letter was this way: " We have ordered to the commander Francisco de Bobadilla, that you should speak from our partexternal image arrow-10x10.png some things he will say. We request that him gives faith and believes and that one you put in work".

It was beginning the summer of 1500 when Bobadilla was done to the sea. He was taking two caravels: La Gorda y la Antigua with 50 men in each one. Among them, several were religious. And, in addition, 19 of the Indians led to Spain after being unfairly enslaved by Columbus were returning now to his land.

On August 23, 1500 came to Santo Domingo, where he met Diego Columbus, who was administrating the colony in absence of his brother Christopher, who was in T

In wait of the return of the Admiral, Bobadilla initiated a series of inquiries against his bad action, which faced him furthermore with Diego Columbus.

Bobadilla had to feel as if he had entered a madhouse. What was happening in La Española? Fundamentally, that the colonization had failed. The admiral came in 1493 with 1.200 men. Of them they would not remain now any more than 400 Spaniards, all of them harassed by the hunger and the diseases. The indigenous population, as much, approximately 90.000 people delivered after the battle of Royal Vega, were adapting since

as could to the new situation. The attempt of obtaining cultures that were doing the self-sufficient colony had remained frustrated, partlyexternal image arrow-10x10.png for technical reasons, the worn seeds of Spain were not taking root and partlyexternal image arrow-10x10.png because the Indian workforce could not cultivate as the spanish.

Then,he decided to catch and to arrange Diego to Spain, likewise he sent a requirement to Christopher Columbus in the order that was appearing in the Dominican capitalexternal image arrow-10x10.png, what the Admiral did in September, 1500; later the Coroner caught him in the strength together with his brother Bartolomeu Columbus, who had returned of attacking the Indians of Jaragua. Finally he sent them to Spain at the beginning of following October, guarded by the captain Alonso of Vallejo, to deliver them to Fonseca, the bishop of Burgos who was directing for then the business of The Indies and was a mortal enemy of Columbus.

Judgement to colon

The 23rd of August 1500, Bobadilla arrived to Santo Domingo sent by the Catholic Monarchs as a judge to solve the hard situation that was in the island. Before he left, he was given the necessary powers to destroy the Almirant. Bobadilla fulfilled his assignment submitting to Columbus to a Judgment. Finally, he took the Almirant fettered to the Crown of Castile.

Bobadilla presented to the witnesses an interrogation of 3 questions.

The first question was referring if Columbus tried to rebel against the Crown Of Castile at the arrival of Bobadilla, although some people accused him of to rise with the domination of the world and to try to give the new territories to a English monarch.

The second question was referring to the religious matter. They never questioned his faith but his way of apply the sacraments. Nevertheless, all the witnesses declared that Columbus was prohibiting to the ecclesiastics to baptize the Indians by means of threats.

The third question was referring to the way Columbus managed the justice. They proved that the Almirant and his brothers did judgments without a process happens.

Although Columbus was declared innocent he was removed of his privileges.

Sent to Spain at the beginning of October, 1500, the Columbus' brothers exposed his protests before the kings, and Bobadilla was relieved by Nicolas of Ovando on September 3, 1501.

When it was returning to Spain, the craft in which he was traveling overturned as a result of a hurracane, and Bobadilla died in the shipwreck the 11, June 1502.

I can't really understand Columbus actitude but I can confirm this sentence: "Power and money turn us mad". In my opinion, Columbus received a lot of titles and territories and also, money. I don't know why as h discovered a new continent he was so evil.
He was able to teach the doctrine to the "Indians" and teach them, he also had the chance to learn from them, but no, he ant first learn how to survive but later he turned into someone with an ice heart.

In my opinion Columbus should had to take care of avery body, without, necessary, using the strenght but by intecrat with them.

All his bad actions had it's consecuences, as people's actions has them. No matter if are good actions or bad they also have consecuences, which can good or bad. Columbus should had thought about his actions and consecuences.
